The Loss of Peter Steele

We lost one of the best frontmen metal ever knew (and many never knew about) on April 14, 2010. Peter Steele, lead singer and bassist of Type O Negative, and formerly of Carnivore, died at the age of 48 of heart failure. I cannot express in words how I feel about his loss, as it has deeply saddened me. I am not going to sit here and eulogize him or act like I ever knew him, but the music he wrote and created with Type O Negative was a major influence on my life. Many of their songs got me through some rough patches and influenced many of my poems. Thank you for all that you created and shared Peter. You will be missed.....

Now I'm A Fool

Sitting at my desk in my studio apartment listening to the Eagles of Death Metal's song "Now I'm A Fool". Thinking I'm a fool. A fool because I like someone I don't need to like and I don't want to like....but alas, I whine too much....

"Now I'm a fool
I feel like the whole world knows and I just can't escape it
Figured your cool, I was so sweet on you and it seems like you faked it
Seems so cruel, think I could shake you off , yea I think I'm tough I can take it
I'm tellin' the truth, you put a good hurt on me "

I Can Rock Hats

I have been told by more than one individual that I can rock a hat. I think baseball caps are the ones I can rock the least, but other hats, well, that is a different story. Beanies, skull caps, cowboy hats, fedoras, drivers, military.....there WILL be pics to come. (Photo credit: Jenny Fields)

So, after years of being an internet junkie, and now working in search engine marketing, I have finally created a damn blog. I do believe I will use this as a forum to rant and rave about whatever the hell I want to, but will avoid any Sarah Palin-like idiocy. If you are conservative, you will probably not like this blog too much. Check back frequently, once I enjoy this more this could get interesting.
